2023 is in the books. What a year! It felt like a lifetime yet it was over in the blink of an eye.
The headlines from my past year:
Successfully bought and moved into a house! And it only almost completely broke my brain and spirit.
Started what will be a lengthy and painful process of fixing and renovating said house!
Visited Amsterdam, Barcelona, Dublin, Wicklow, Norfolk, the Cotswolds, Edinburgh, Coatbridge, and Devon!
Returned to Australia for a Christmas and New Year with friends and family!
Watched many friends get married and met many cute new babies!
Career wise, a couple of big podcast projects came out in 2023:
After years in the making, Tiny Huge Decisions was finally released into the world!
Probably the show I’m most proud to have worked on – something unique, funny, moving and beautiful.

A huge podcast project for one of the biggest health research foundations in the world. This was a properly global production – we featured voices from: India, Kenya, the UK, the US, Sierra Leone, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, Malawi, Denmark, the Netherlands, Nigeria and Guinea! Plus I got to meet former Prime Minister of Australia, Julia Gillard!
In the series, botanist-turned-Hollywood-actor Alisha Wainwright chats to scientists and researchers working on some big problems. Think climate change, mental health, infectious disease...
But it's not all gloom and doom. When Science Finds A Way delivers a dash of #hope, giving insight into some innovative solutions. This is health research brought to life, and delivered to your podcast app.
